If you are sailing on an Azamara ship, you aren’t going to want to miss a trip to “The Patio”.
This poolside grill offers a casual, sit-down experience during the day and transforms into an alfresco dining restaurant during the evenings.
The Patio can be found on all four Azamara ships – and you aren’t going to want to miss it!
Where Is The Patio Located?
You will find it on deck nine, just before the entrance to the Windows Cafe. (That is the buffet).
It is a sheltered, undercover area with patio heaters, so it is pleasant to sit out, even if the weather isn’t warm.
What Do They Serve?
During the day, they serve a range of fantastic burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and lighter bites such as nachos and soups.
Vegitarian options are available, and all menu items are marked to show allergens.
You can help yourself to salads from the salad bar or to the frozen Yoghurt from the “Swirl and Top” section.
In the evening, the menu changes, and The Patio transforms into a wonderful al fresco dining area.
They offer soups, salads and artisan breads for starters.
The main course is cooked on the grill and may include favourites such as BBQ Pork Ribs, Grilled Chicken Kebabs, Lamb Tenderloin, Beef Striploin, or seafood.
When Is It Open?
The Patio is open at lunchtime, in the afternoon and for dinner most evenings – weather permitting.
In the daytime, just show up and eat when it suits you.
Help yourself to salads and desserts, and the main courses and drinks are served to your table.
Standard Opening Times:
Lunch: 11.30 am – 5:00 pm
Dinner: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Opening times are subject to change, but you can check for the most up-to-date information in “The Insider” – Azamara’s paper daily schedule, delivered to your cabin each evening.
I love that they have the beyond burger, that is a vegetarian burger and you are always able to order it with any other vegetarian toppings.
Destination Dishes
They serve “Destination Dishes” as well as the standard menu.
This is the Spanish burger with Chorizo and spicy paprika mayonnaise, served when we were docked in Seville, Spain.
Swirl & Top
If you have any room left after your main, you can go to the “Swirl and Top” station.
There are two frozen yoghurt machines (chocolate and strawberry when I was last onboard) and a whole host of toppings to choose from.
The Patio stands out to me as one of my favourite poolside grills – and I have sailed with many mainstream and luxury cruise lines. I really recommend a visit if you are sailing with Azamara.
The balance between a casual, relaxed dining venue and really great food really suits me well!
