The Cruise Globe, the world’s first free-to-use digital platform that allows global travellers to accurately map out their entire cruise history, smashed its first six month’s target with over 70,000 users signed up and in excess of 380,000 cruises logged in just 30 days.
This remarkable success backs up The Cruise Globe’s claim that cruisers have been crying out for a platform that allows them to log, explore and share the exact routes of every single cruise journey and share this information with family and friends.

The number of uses continues to grow, and the latest figures (May 2026) show that over 131,000 people are using the app, and 728,000 cruises have been logged!
While the majority of users are based in the UK, The Cruise Globe is proving popular with cruisers worldwide, particularly those based in the US, Canada, Australia, and the EU.
The app is completely free to use and is available on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for Android phones.
The average number of cruises logged per user is just over 5, while the most cruises to have been logged by one single user is 78.
While we were confident that there was huge unmet demand for a service like this, we have been blown away by just how quickly it has taken off and how much users seem to love it. Most digital start-ups reach 10,000 users within the first six to 12 months but we achieved double that number of users in the first month which is something that we are all incredibly proud of.

About The Cruise Globe:
The Cruise Globe is the brainchild of three friends – Matthew Jones, Will Ellison and Emma Le Teace, all of whom have a shared love of travel, ships and the ocean. They are the team behind the hugely successful The Cruise Maps, the world’s first personalised and entirely accurate print maps for cruise passengers.
Will trained in naval architecture and has 15 years’ experience building marine technology start-ups;
Matthew has eight years’ experience in building start-ups, and both his parents worked for Cunard in the 1980s as a nurse and chief engineer on the QE2 and Countess; and
Emma, who is better known as Emma Cruises, is one of the world’s biggest cruise content creators with her finger on the pulse when it comes to knowing what cruisers want.
Drawing on this vast experience and knowledge, they created a digital, interactive platform using historical AIS satellite ship-tracking data that allows cruisers to log their entire cruise history on a map and view all their collective statistics in one place.
