The Titanic was 882 feet (269 meters) in length and 92 feet (28 meters) wide.

The length of the Titanic is equivalent to 2.6 football pitches, 5.9 commercial aeroplanes or 2.9 times the Statue of Liberty.

The Titanic was as wide as 2.2 buses or 1/3rd of a modern aircraft carrier.

The Titanic was 70% the height of the Empire State Building, and it was only 7% wide, as the Empire State Building is tall.

The Titanic, Olympic and Britannic were almost identical in size with a length of 882ft (269m) and a width of 92ft (28m).

Britannic was slightly larger than the Titanic in terms of gross tonnage. Titanic had a gross tonnage of 46,000 and Britannic had a gross tonnage of 48,000.

Gross tonnage is the measurement used when talking about ships, to measure the volume within the ship. Gross tonnage is not the weight of the ship.

If the Titanic was stood beside a building, it would be 16 stories high.

Modern cruise ships are, on average, 20% longer than the Titanic and twice as high.

The average Royal Caribbean cruise ship is 325 meters long, 14 decks high and has a gross tonnage of 133,000. In comparison, the Titanic was only 269 meters long, 9 decks high, and had a gross tonnage of 46,000.
