I always enjoy cruising with Marella. They offer an all-inclusive cruise experience, their fares include flights from the UK, transfers, drinks, and gratuities as standard.
What many people don’t realise is that Marella often have discount codes, which, when entered at the time of booking can save you hundreds of pounds.
In this article, we look at how to get the best deal when booking your Marella cruise.
Marella Cruises I Have Taken
I have taken many cruises with Marella over the years, and I have always really enjoyed them.
At the time of writing, they aren’t sailing from the UK, all their cruises are fly cruises.
This wasn’t always the case though, in the past I took a “Baltic Adventure” cruise from Southampton, and had an amazing time. I am hoping they might start sailing from the UK again in the future!
To find out where Marella is sailing to now, read the article below:
Where Do Marella Cruises Sail? (2024 and Beyond)
One of the first cruises I took after the COVID-19 pandemic was with Marella. Travel seemed risky at that time, so booking a cruise where all the flights and transfers were taken care of seemed like a very good choice.
As well as some very attractive prices, there was a discount code which meant I saved extra money on top. To get the most out of this discount code, my parents and I made separate bookings.
If you are travelling with family or friends, it might be worth making two separate bookings, as the discount is per booking, not per person.
When I travel with my parents, we always do that. It makes no difference to us that we aren’t on the same booking, and our savings are doubled!
Find out more about that cruise and remember all the awful testing rules and regulations necessary at that time. I am so glad that cruising has returned to normal!
When I wanted to take my cousin on a cruise recently, Marella seemed the perfect choice.
We hadn’t sailed together since we were children, and I wanted a relaxed cruise that she would enjoy – but I didn’t want too many additional charges on top of the cruise fare.
Marella fitted the bill perfectly, as all drinks and gratuities are included at standard.
We sailed in the Mediterranean over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend on Marella’s adult-only cruise ship, Marella Explorer 2.

How To Find Discount Codes For Marella Cruises
Step 1: Click on the Marella cruises link below to research cruises available that fit your criteria:
On that page you should be able to see offers that Marella have at that time – often money off cruises within certain dates, Money off solo cruise fares, etc. There is often a code to enter online to activate this extra discount.
Step 2 – Click on the link below. It will list all the most up-to-date offers and discount codes from Marella.
Look at the terms and conditions of each offer, and if your sailing meets the criteria, then apply the discount code to the box at the time of booking. You will be able to see the discount deducted straight away if the code has worked.
You will usually have to physically enter the code quoted into the discount code box – this discount isn’t automatically applied.
Extra Marella Discounts Available on Black Friday and Boxing Day
Marella often offers discount codes on Black Friday or Boxing Day.
Black Friday is a great time to book a cruise. But if you have specific dates or destinations in mind, book up quickly, as popular itineraries can sell out quickly.
Boxing Day is another great time to use a discount code to grab a bargain. That is the start of the busy “Wave Season”.
“Wave Season” (as it is known in the cruise world) is the period between Christmas and March when most cruisers book their cruise holidays.
Marella offers discount codes to encourage cruisers to book, so it is always worth checking and using any discount codes available before you do.
Similar Discounts Apply on Tui River Cruises
As Tui River Cruises are owned by the same parent company as Marella, they offer similar discount codes that you need to apply in the same way.
I got a great discount on my Christmas Markets river cruise. I got a suite for the same price as a standard cabin by entering a discount code at the time of booking.
Discount codes also work for booking Tui River cruises, as they are part of the same company. When searching on the website, just select River Cruises, not Marella Cruises.
This river cruise wasn’t without its issues, though. Dangerously high water levels caused last-minute changes in the itinerary, and we had to fly to a different airport than originally planned.
Luckily, as Tui include all flights and transfers within the cruise fare, these changes were their problem, not mine!
